CADCraft is ArtCraft's open-source CAD and drafting application, available as a native app and through a browser build. It exposes drawing operations through an MCP server, JSON control channel and CLI so an external AI agent can inspect, edit and render a drawing. CADCraft itself does not bundle or provide a generative AI model; the AI decision layer comes from the connected client or agent. Compare it with FreeCAD and Onshape on automation surface, setup effort, format round-trip and review of agent-made edits. The official project describes an early, fast-changing release; some CAD entities it does not model can be lost when saving. Use copies of important drawings and inspect exported files. This directory has not run a CAD round-trip, measured browser performance or tested an MCP client.
